Beth's Kingscote Barn Wedding

I cannot begin to tell you how privileged I feel to style hair for brides, it's always the most amazing thing to be involved in somebody's special day, I always say to a bride when I meet them at the trial run that the wedding day will feel like every birthday and Christmas wrapped up into one.....and it always does!! To be a bridal hairdresser in the Cotswolds is such an great job!

I am once again indebted to a fantastic photographer for providing photographs of Beth's wedding. Albert Palmer is a photographer from Bristol that I had heard the most amazing things about from other suppliers and people in the wedding industry so to finally meet him was great.

We actually first met at a wedding just before Beth's wedding and he is everything that people had said. Not only an incredibly artistic photographer but such a genuinely nice guy. I love his unobtrusive style of working, he never forced people to pose and to be honest most of the time you forgot that he was there, such a great way of working that everyone felt perfectly at ease with having photos taken.

I am very honoured to be recommended as a hairdresser for Kingscote Barn and style hair here so often that it feels like a second home! This year I have had more and more brides getting ready at Will's Cottage which is a beautiful converted barn just down the road from Kingscote Barn. At the barn there are several self catering options including the other cottage 'Spring Cottage' but I am finding more brides are enjoying getting ready 'off site' and loving the peace and tranquility that Will's Cottage offers.

Beth's hair style was an incredibly elegant entwined up do that suited her and her style of dress just perfectly! Having set her hair first with heated rollers I then pinned the hair into place by entwining the hair into curls at the back whilst creating an elegant sleek look from the front, beautifully finished with soft tendrils around the hairline and a soft plait along one side of the hair style to give a slight boho feel.

The bridesmaids all had their hair curled with rollers before I styled the hair into half up styles, a simple but equally elegant option for a bridesmaid wedding hair style.

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding Hair Styling

I'm so excited to share photos from a wedding I styled hair for recently which were taken by photographer James Melia I really love the retro style of James' photos!

These photos are from the lovely Faye's wedding at Stone Barn a beautiful barn in the Cotswolds, part of the Cripps Kitchen group that includes Cripps Barn another wedding venue that I style hair for. I spent the morning at the fab Wheatsheaf Inn at Northleach to style hair for Faye and her bridesmaids, a lot of brides stay here for weddings locally so I spend a lot of time there styling bridal hair! Styling the make up for Faye and the girls today was the talented Cotswold Make up Artist Emily Tarrant, I have worked with Emily on quite a few weddings now and she always creates beautiful make up.

Faye asked me to create waterfall braids for the bridesmaids, a really great look and perfect for a bridesmaid. For her own hair Faye went for a tousled up do with a plait running across the front and into the tousled bun, a great boho hairstyle which I finished by pinning gypsophila flowers into.
