Luckington Court Wiltshire

Today's wedding was held at 'Luckington Court' in Wiltshire. The Queen Anne building sits at the end of a gravel drive in beautiful grounds with a simply beautiful Norman church standing a few paces through the gates adjacent to the gardens. Luckington was most famously used as the Bennet's home in the BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' with Colin Firth. This is one of the reasons that Vicki chose this beautiful venue. One of the lovely things about Luckington is that it is a privately owned family home and it feels very warm and welcoming. As I arrived the family's terrier even ran out to greet me!
Clare (Pure Pampering) was with me today doing the make up for the wedding party and she was already set up and working as I walked into the panelled bridal suite.
I started by putting chief bridesmaids hair into heated rollers as she was having a chignon and we needed to add body to the hair before it was styled and finished with a beautiful arrangement of flowers on a comb.
Vicki had asked for a casual looking tousled upstyle when we did the trial run. I curled her hair all over and then pinned it into place with the flowers adding detail to the one side. Vicki's fiance had also bought her a small Jane Austen cameo set onto a hairpin which Vicki had asked me to incorporate into the hairstyle, such a really lovely detail!

I blow dried Vicki's mothers hair once I'd finished the 2 girls and gave it lots of body ready for the beautiful hat she had chosen for the day.
We were really lucky to have such a sunny day for Vicki's wedding considering the wet week we'd had.
As I was leaving the girls to enjoy their day there was a real buzz as people were adding the final touches to the marquee which was grandly sitting on the lawns of Luckington Court.
