Barnsley House was owned by Rosemary Verey (Eminent Garden designer, writer and broadcaster) until her death in 2001 when it became an exclusive hotel. As a huge fan of Rosemary Verey's I had always wanted to see Barnsley and it's gardens and visiting Rachel there today I wasn't disappointed, it really is the most beautiful venue.Arriving early I was escorted by one of the Barnsley house staff through the grounds to the 'Secret Garden Suite' that Rachel was staying in. The suite is the most amazing set of rooms set within it's own private award winning gardens and pond with stepping stone bridge to access the rooms, this is one venue that looks like it is out of a film!!
Once I had crossed the pond to the rooms (tricky carrying my hairdressing case and equipment across the pond!!) I set to work styling Rachel's hair.
At the trial for Rachel's wedding hair we had created an elegant updo that looked stunning with her brunette hair, once I'd finished curling the hair today I then recreated this style and pinned the silk and pearl flower into one side before attaching the veil.
Once I'd finished Rachel's bridal hair I left Barnsley House and had a quick drive over to Tetbury to 'The Close Hotel' to do number 2 wedding of the day for Tania ....
