I had a very early start this morning to drive over to Ledbury in Herefordshire to style hair for Charlotte's wedding.
Charlotte's wedding was to be held in Dymock followed by a reception in a marque at the family farm. Charlotte and her two sisters had decided to stay at the beautiful Feathers Hotel in Ledbury the night before so that they could get ready in luxury on the morning of the wedding.
I started with putting sisters Mel and Liz's hair into heated rollers before curling Charlottes hair with GHD's. Mel and Liz had decided on up do's with formed curls and Charlotte had decided on a similar style but with a detailed roll giving it a distinct 40's / 50's vintage feel.

I was really excited to be styling hair for today's wedding as it was at a venue I haven't been to before. I've styled hair for several brides who got married at Tetbury's Great Tythe Barn but this was the first time I had actually been to the venue to do the preparation.
I visited Sarah earlier in the year in Clifton Bristol to do her trial. Sarah has the most beautiful naturally curly hair which is great to work with.
The weather had held out for us and today was a really sunny day as I arrived at the barn and complex of cottages. Sarah was staying in Kiln Cottage right in front of the main barn. A beautiful self contained cottage with a fabulous 'Bottle Kiln' fireplace in the main room which gives the cottage it's name.
I started with putting Sarah's bridesmaid's hair into heated rollers to add body and curl for the half up hairstyle we decided on.
Next I styled Sarah's hair by curling it with GHD's before putting it up and styling it back to form a beautiful array of curls at the back. Once styled I pinned a beautiful crystal diamante comb into the back to finish the style.
Once bridesmaid Ali's hair was out of the rollers and styled I blow dried Sarah's Mum's hair into style ready to take her beautiful hat.
My good friend and colleague Clare Bryce (Pure Pampering) was doing the make-up for the wedding today using the new to UK range of mineral make-up PURE ANADA.
As Clare and I left we had a quick peek in the barn, it really is an amazing place and Sarah's mother had done the most fabulous job with flower arrangements and candles in all the alcoves.

A very early start today leaving Gloucester and a 1.5 hour drive down the motorway driving past Bristol through Bath and to Frome in Somerset for the bridal hair styling for Clare's wedding.
Orchardleigh House is a new venue for me and I wasn't disappointed!! Whilst researching the directions for the house on their website I read '... on leaving the main road drive passed the lodge houses and drive 1.5 miles along the drive through the parkland to the house' Yes you read right ... 1.5miles of driveway! I have been to some incredible venues but I think this one must be in my top 3 of the best.
Clare was in the 'Bonita' suite, a beautiful room with a four poster bed and incredible view across the gardens and parkland.
Best friend Adrienne and sister Laura both had long hair which I added body to with heated rollers and then styled. Laura had asked for an informal put up with a tousled feel which suited her hair and the beautiful silver grey fascinator.Adrienne had amazing brunette hair which she wanted to keep down so the heated rollers were used to just add body, sleekness and tame the style, I also fixed wired cream rosebuds into the style on one side. Very elegant.
Clare's mum Liz had bought the most incredible hat for the wedding in France where she lives. It was a forties turban style with a huge feather and crystal detail at the front, VERY unique and perfectly suited to her. I blow dried her hair and added some flicks to the edges of the hair to balance the style with the hat.I met Clare for her trial run in Bath earlier in the year and we had decided on a very simple style with body in the crown and the sides swept back and pinned. As with the others I set Clare's hair into heated rollers to give body and smooth the hair, once styled and pinned into place I fitted the tiara and veil.
Whilst I was styling the hair the Best Man arrived with gifts from the groom which included Diamond earrings from Tiffany's and a huge limited edition oil painting which Clare had seen in a gallery in London and he had secretly bought for her!! So romantic!
As I left the vintage Rolls Royce was arriving to take Clare to the church.

A drive over to the Cotswolds this morning to style hair for Sarah's wedding at ' Kingscote Barn '.
I started with putting heated rollers into bridesmaid Laura's hair before curling and preparing Sarah's hair.
Next was Mum's turn, a simple blow dried style was the order of the day to elegantly create a timeless mother of the bride style.
My very good friend (and make up artist extraordinaire!) Clare from Pure Pampering was transforming the wedding party with her incredibly natural make up using the new range of Pure Anada mineral make up newly imported from Canada.
Once the girls had been transformed with make up I finished the finer details and fixed tiara into place.
I left as Sarah Cameron Sarah's photographer was carrying bouquets around to different spots to capture the perfect memory!
A 40 minute drive down the M5 and next stop was Portishead just south of Bristol to conduct Karan's trial for her June Wedding and wow is she going to look amazing!!

Back to one of my favourite venues today, Eastington Hall near to Stonehouse to style Andrea and her bridesmaids hair.
Having had a great few days of sunshine we were promised a good day today and we certainly weren't let down on that front, it was a stunning day more like a summer's day!
Bridesmaids Jo and Laura had decided on having half up styles so once I'd curled their hair I pinned and styled their hair into place before starting Andrea's.During Andrea's trial run we decided to go for a classical french pleat. I curled Andrea's hair with GHD's before backcombing and pinning into place.
Once styled I then placed and fixed the tiara before double fixing the veil into place for added security.
With the sun beaming down and the three girls looking stunning I set off to Tetbury to conduct a trial run for one of my brides next month.
