Wedding trial run in Bath

Having done a wedding and a trial run yesterday I was well and truly in the bridal hair zone for today's trial run in Bath for Clare's April wedding.

Clare is getting married at the gorgeous Orchard Leigh House in Frome Somerset. We met at one of her friends homes perched high above the beautiful historical city of Bath and had a really great hair trial. I am really looking forward to going to Orchard Leigh in April for Clare's wedding, another beautiful location and another fabulous bride!
With another three trial runs booked for the coming week it seems as if 2010's wedding season has well and truly started!!!

Eastington Hall Vintage Wedding Hair

I was at one of my favourite wedding venues 'Eastington Hall' near Stonehouse Gloucestershire today.

Eastington is a beautiful Georgian mansion which received a glamorous refurbishment last year to become one of Gloucestershire's most sought after premier wedding venues.

Today was Emily's wedding and the entire wedding had a really nice vintage feel to it. Emily's fabulous rich brunette hair was curled all over to give it body for us to create the waves and formed curls.

Once I'd finished pinning the hair into the elaborate style I pinned her diamante and crystal comb into the style.

I next blow dried Emily's mother's hair to give it lots of body and gently flicked it to compliment the most fantastic hat with feather adornment. It really had a beautiful 40's/50's feel.

Emily's sister then had her hair curled with GHD's to give beautiful curls all over which I then pinned up at the front to create a very elegant half up do.
Emily had tried to book Clare Bryce's make-up services for the day but Clare was already booked to do a wedding at Sudeley Castle, however Clare was able to offer Emily a customised lesson service that she is now offering. A few weeks before the wedding Emily and Clare met and Clare designed a bespoke make-up for emily showing her exactly how to recreate the look on the day, such a brilliant idea and Emily was thrilled with the result!

As I was leaving Emily and the others getting ready, the men in the wedding party were all gathering outside the mansion ready to go to the church, they looked amazing as Emily's fiance is in the RAF so they were all in their blue grey uniform which also added to the 40's /50's vintage type feel of the wedding.

The sun was shining and after the worry of the snow earlier in the week Emily couldn't have asked for more!
Andie's Trial Run
As soon as I left Eastington Hall I drove back up the motorway to vist Andie to do her trial run for her wedding in April. Rather bizarrely Andie is also getting married at Eastington Hall so it was great to be able to chat with her and tell her how the morning had been with Emily's wedding.
Andie's trial run was a great success and I'm really looking forward to putting pictures of her on this blog and my main website once I've done the wedding ... check back soon!

Puckrup Hall Valentine's Day Wedding

I left the house very early this morning to drive to the Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel to style hair for Danni 's wedding.
As I arrived it was still dark and Puckrup hall was floodlit but as the morning progressed and I was curling and tweaking the hair of the wedding party it developed into the most beautifully sunny day, not like February at all!

Danni had three bridesmaids, 2 were her sisters and the other a long standing childhood friend. They all had beautiful long hair which we had decided to curl with 2 having a half up do with cascading curls and the other having a soft tousled up do. When I'd spent a couple of hours styling the hair for the 3 girls they all disappeared to get changed they then came back dressed in the most fabulous deep scarlet dresses, very valentines day!Next was Danni's Mum Linda who had bought the most wonderful fascinator/hat which the girls had christened a hatinator!! (A bit of a crossbreed) Once I'd blowdried Linda's hair I fixed the 'Hatinator' into place and gripped it securely to make sure it would stay in place all day! Danni had decided on a very classical soft tousled updo which I curled with GHD's and then pinned each curl individually. Once it was all in place I then attached Danni's crystal tiara and then fixed her veil into place with the double hold method just before she stepped into her pearl and crystal encrusted dress. She looked amazing and made the most beautiful bride.
As I was leaving the hotel the vintage Rolls Royce and limousines were drawing up outside the main entrance ready to whisk Danni of to her groom waiting at the nearby church!

Trial time!

Since Christmas it has been a very busy time. I think that almost as soon as the Christmas turkey was polished off my email inbox went bonkers with wedding requests! I'm really looking forward to this year, I've have some lovely brides booked in and the trial runs have already started.

Danni's wedding on Valentine's Day is going to be great, she has booked her wedding at the fabulous Hilton Puckrup Hall Tewkesbury.

Although it's on a Sunday it's going to be an early start for me to get Danni and her bridesmaids ready for the big day. Despite the recent snow fall I managed to travel over to Danni's home recently to do her trial run and she looked fabulous with her wedding hair ... check back soon to see pictures of the wedding hair!

Last Saturday saw me heading down the M5 to Bristol to visit Sarah for her trial run at her bridesmaids beautiful Clifton apartment. Sarah is getting married at The Great Tythe Barn at Tetbury which is a truly stunning converted barn in the Cotswolds.

Sarah has naturally curly hair which is always a pleasure to work with, with the trend for poker straight hair over the last few years it is so refreshing to work with natural curls! Clare Bryce (Pure Pampering) is doing Sarah's make-up for the day, working with Clare is great and we end up having such a fab time helping brides prepare for their weddings that it really doesn't feel like work!
